OP_ERA: Hyperviews is an immersive installation conceived to explore representations of four-dimensional (4D) objects through multimodal interfaces—both visual and sonic. The project takes the form of a dark 3 × 3 × 3 meter cube. Across five walls, an automated system triggers synchronized light flashes that translate temporal projections of 4D object vertices into perceptual events. These visual stimuli are programmed to generate afterimage effects, inviting the viewer to construct mental figures of higher-dimensional space. To support this process, the system follows three core rules: Unfolding the hypercube into lower dimensions; Examining projections and shadows; Analyzing intersections and cross-sections. OP_ERA: Hyperviews was commissioned by Itaú Cultural for Emoção Art.ficial 2.0 (2004).
